I am surprised. I was hanging mr dick in hopes of increasing length mainly, but not so soon and not the girth. I haven’t been doing any girth exercises. I have been hanging 4lb for nearly 12-15 hours a week.

Does hanging increase the girth, or is it temporary?

Congratulations mate!!!!! This is good.

This is clearly possible, especially if you have been doing other PE exercises. I have been hanging for 4 months now with around 7 pounds and I do not feel fatigued. I hang it for nearly 20 minutes each session. I do around 3 sessions in a day. I also throw in some manual exercises for good measure.

My penis has become strong, and I think I can sustain more weight.

7 months in. I have been very gradual in building up. I keep the same weight for two weeks, let my penis get adjusted to the weight, and then increase the weight a little. Despite this slow routine, I have seen a good increase in both length and girth - BPEL: +.68 and MSG: +.73. I also did some research before starting.

Regarding the question about the increasing girth, it is possible. Some might see a minor increase; some might see a bigger increase. However, to see any real changes, you will require doing 8+ pounds IMO. Do it more regularly; then, you could start seeing girth that will sustain even after you stop hanging.

Be very careful. baby steps. There are people who have injured their penis hanging too heavy too fast.
Here are some of the risks:
  • tearing of the skin
  • bruising
  • nerve damage
  • blood clots
  • sensation loss in the glans
  • penile fracture (you might break it)
I recommend micro weight plates. The untrained penis doesn't like big jumps in weight, and problems can occur. Just get those inexpensive micro gym weights (0.5lbs, 1lb).

Increase in girth is possible due to the micro-tears(which are good). I noticed a minor increase, about 0.24 just weeks after starting my hanging exercise, and I am proud of it. Like Medic Medic said, take it slow and light. I started at 2.5 lb, did it for a few weeks, went for 5 lbs. It has been four months, and I see some gains. I use a sock hanger. It's lightweight, and I was able to keep on hanging for extended periods.

I find it surprising that people are finding gains even at light weights. Unless you leave it there 24/7, I do not think it can happen. If you want to see tangible results, you have to try anything above 8 pounds. Anything less, I am not sure if it is even real :rolleyes:

Every person is different, and if some of us see gains at lesser weights, dafuk is your problem?

Still maintaining gains. Was not able to consistently hang. Started getting sore with the 8lbs and then had to come back to 4lbs.
As someone who has been hanging for years now, my simple philosophy is that if your penis is comfortable to a point where you do not feel the need to decrease the weights or the duration of the hang for more than a week, then, its time to add a pound.

Here is my pyramid penis hanging routine.
  • Monday: 12lbs 15 minutes sessions 3 sets
  • Tuesday: 12lbs 15 minutes sessions 2 sets. Had to drop to 11lbs to hang the 3rd set.
  • Wednesday: 12lbs could manage only 1 set, had to drop to 11lbs for 2nd set, 10lbs for the third.
  • Thursday: 12lbs couldn't be done, fatigued. Only managed 11lbs for two sets, 10lbs for the third.
  • Friday: 11lbs for one set, 10lbs for 1, 9lbs for third.
  • Saturday/Sunday off.
  • Monday back to 12lbs.
This way you push your penis to its max, but does not break :p , you taper the weights just at the right time and then at the end of the week after a thorough workout, you give couple of rest days to heal and regenerate before going back up.

This is THE SECRET to optimal penis weight hanging!

Is it better to go with longer hanging sets is 15-20 minutes the standard?
With vac hanging you can probably do longer sets, but I prefer compression hanger. I think 15-30 minutes is the right duration for serious weights. I have tried longer durations with the heavy weights , it doesn't seem to do much and propensity for blisters increases. But ofcourse you could try hanging for hours using 30% of your maxed weight, just to mix things up, that's one strategy to keep your penis guessing.

Penis weight hanging is for short strong bursts, and somewhat inconvenient for sustained lighter workout. An extender is better for the longer sessions. Combination is best!
