Does Phimosis Affect Size: Can It Restrict Growth?

I have phimosis, and I have a sneaky suspicion that it is restricting my size. When fully erect, my length is 5.25”. Is it a problem, or are my worries like seeing a unicorn roaming the streets of New York?

If severe, It does restrict proper erection. My situation was so bad that I was neither able to cum nor able to pee without problems. I ended up visiting my doctor, who recommended circumcision. I am scheduled for it in the coming weeks.

I am looking forward to having problem-free sex and peeing.

I’m not so sure how is phimosis is affecting Y yespecia's sex and ability to urinate.

You see, the tight foreskin does not affect your growth or erection. In the case of phimosis, the only thing tight is your opening. Your foreskin is flexible and stretchy. This condition does not always need circumcision. It only needs some expansion of your skin. Your doctor can show you techniques that are extensively used by mastectomy patients and burn victims. If you apply proper tension, then your opening can easily retract.

Brah!!!! I am not shooting arrows in the dark. I am talking about my experience. My doctor referred me to a urologist, who recommended circumcision. There are also cases where the phimotic ring cannot be stretched. This, in most cases, is the reason why the doctor recommends circumcision.

I can understand what you are saying Y yespecia, but I have worked as a nursing assistant to a urologist and know my science. I will repeat that your foreskin is stretchy and flexible, which means that it does not restrict the growth. This flexible foreskin also accommodates erection. I will suggest everybody save their foreskin and just stretch it. The foreskin is laden with nerves that enhance your sexual experience. Snipping will rob you of that.

I will agree with it. I had thought that phimosis requires circumcision. I visited my doctor, who said that the phimosis could be caused due to thrush and balanitis xerotica obliterans, which results in the foreskin sticking to the penis. I was prescribed a steroid cream, and regular application of it addressed phimosis. Circumcision should be done only as a last resort.

Keep in mind - you should meet the doctor because any DIY remedies for phimosis can only make it worse.

Steroid Cream?

These creams are quite powerful and should not be applied to the entire shaft. On the inside of your foreskin opening, you can feel a tiny ring (insert a fingertip and roll between your thumb and forefinger). You should apply the cream only to that ring, rub it in thoroughly. Apply the cream after a stretching session. Do remember to wash your hands after applying the cream.

I think HappyPigeon HappyPigeon said that the regular application of the cream addressed his problem. So, no need to guide him. That said, many might require assistance, so thank you anyways.

No buddy, it will not restrict your size, but it can potentially restrict your pleasure. As astrozombie astrozombie said, there are a lot of sensitive nerves in the area, inside your foreskin, not outside. When you have sex, the foreskin rolls back and inverts, which exposes the sensitive side.

So, if your foreskin does not roll back, your pleasure experience will decrease. In no way will it impact the size.

I had phimosis sometime back, and my girlfriend ended up giving me a blow job and boy it was more pleasurable than sex. I am just pointing this out so that forum members can know that sex does not stop with phimosis. The type of sex will change, but sex itself will not change.

There was a mention of stretching, but I am not able to do regular stretching since I come back exhausted from work, and my shift lasts for nearly 12 to 14 hours in these conditions. Will it cause any problem? I do not want to get snipped.

DoV DoV, you do not have to stretch forever. It is only for a temporary purpose. Regular stretching will ensure that your foreskin becomes permanent and will help in maintaining your sexual life. Curing of phimosis does not have a set time frame, but there are several who have gotten cured in 2 to 3 months. Curing will depend on how successfully you have eradicated the yeast and prevent its recurrence. Maintain personal hygiene and always have protected sex.

I do not know if it helps, but I had phimosis and was advised to use a lube to help in retracting the foreskin. It worked for a few days, but then it progressively became tighter, and I ended up getting snipped.
