I found this interesting stat on Bathmate size in one of the forums that I am a member of and thought I will post it here. Mind you, this is not new info, and there could be some deviations. Here it is:

Goliath
  • Maximum Length - 9.84”
  • Recommended Length - < 9.05”
  • Maximum Girth - 8.16”
  • Recommended Girth - < 7.37”
Hydromax X30
  • Maximum Length - 7.08”
  • Recommended Length - < 6.29”
  • Maximum Girth - 5.68”
  • Recommended Girth - < 4.90”
Hydromax X40
  • Maximum Length - 8.45”
  • Recommended Length - < 7.67”
  • Maximum Girth - 6.92”
  • Recommended Girth - < 6.13”

Please remember that we must allow some space for expansion. If anybody else has any idea about Hydromax7, 9, X20, X50, and Xtreme series, please feel free to contribute.

I have an X20 and here is what I know (it is not like what eugene Fuller eugene Fuller has posted)

Inner length

Uncompressed - 8.5”
Compressed – 7.25”

If you compress the gaiter, as in X30, there is a loss of 1.25”.

When fully compressed, the 6” mark falls just below the 6.25” mark. Comfort pads, as in X30, adds approximately 0.25”.

The opening diameter, unlike X30, is 1-7/8” or 1-15/16”

On X20, you will find the 6” mark at the bottom of the sticker. In X30, 7” mark is approximately 0.25” under.

Can someone tell me which the best BM is for me? My length is 5.89”. The girth is 5.4”. I have been using BM X30 for some time now, but it gets uncomfortable. When I pump, I push against the inside of BM. Should I opt for X40 or any other size? Will there be any problem if I go for a higher size?

Hi C cohen lewis,

Did you take measurements against any guide and after pumping?

TBF, you do not fit the bill for X40. However, there is no harm in going for X40. If it works, then well and good. I had the same issue, and I settled for X40 after my penis pushed to X40 on trial. There is a slight difference when you measure the erect length and when you measure length after pumping. I suggest you take measurements after pumping and see if you cross the X40 mark. If yes, then get that.

The size guide is good, but with experience, I have realized that having a shape guide is far more important. Why I say this is because BM pumping mechanics require erection to be almost perpendicular to the body.

It works optimally for people with a 90-degree erection. Not all have a 90-degree erection. The typical angle falls around 70-degree. If your erection is less than 60-degree, then spending money on Bathmate is useless, because it won’t fit around your penile base, resulting in no hard sealing.

Using BM will make your penis push hard against the tube’s inner walls preventing the best extension of your penis.

I hope I am making sense here.

I will agree with Damari Damari. BM is not suitable for everyone. Besides the erection, if the scrotum is tight, it will be difficult to get the connecting tubes and the testicles far enough to avoid any sort of injury while pumping.

I got injured and when I called up the manufacturer, I was only recommended pulling the testicles out of harm’s way. Not everyone can do that. Unless these fellows come up with a design alteration, I am planning to use a rubber sleeve.

I know a way that will address the erection angle problem of BM. One should use BM with the slant facing upwards rather than downwards. The distribution of pressure will be similar to the normal method, while the tube will be in line with the erection. It will work.

Thank you, eugene Fuller eugene Fuller,

These numbers seem fairly accurate. I have an X40, and every time I go past the scale provided on the tube, there is still room to wiggle. I will pin the blame of people buying wrong-sized BM on BM itself. The sizing was off the mark, especially the girth differences. The difference was huge, and the testicles always got sucked in ….

I came across a lot of reviews on different forums where they talked about headroom, etc. I believe it is mostly due to the fat pad. The reason – my measurement, while NBPEL is 7.3, and BPEL is 7.6 after a good session of pumping and jelqing. I use X30, and I have about ¼” left in the pump. This makes me feel that the limit would be somewhere around 8 inches. I also tried the Hercules series, and the gaiter had folds in it, which added extra 0.25”. The same is the case with girth.

I could not think of anything else apart from the difference in the fat pad.
